Concrete Sleeper Track Installation : Farm Access Made Easy

Concrete sleeper track installations are a practical way to improve farm access. With grant funding available in some areas and the benefit of being classed as a non-permanent track, they can often be a more planning-friendly option for farms in Cheshire, Staffordshire and beyond.
For this recent project, the aim was to upgrade an existing cow track that had become worn and muddy. We began by excavating and preparing the ground to create a solid base. Once ready, we laid concrete sleepers along the route, forming a strong surface that will make moving livestock and machinery much easier.
The cows wasted no time in putting the new track to the test and the results speak for themselves. The farm now has a reliable route that will make access easier throughout the seasons, with less risk of rutted or waterlogged ground.
Why you might go for a concrete sleeper track?
Planning-friendly – considered a non-permanent track option.
Grant support – sometimes eligible for funding in some schemes.
Durable and reliable – designed to cope with daily farm traffic.
Full installation service – CPS take care of excavation, ground prep and laying.
We’ve installed a number of sleeper tracks this year, alongside upgrading existing stone tracks and installing new access routes in a range of materials to suit different farm needs. Whatever track and purpose you need, we always work with our customers to provide the most practical solution for their land.
